Maiden Rock Winery & Cidery

We are an award-winning cider orchard presenting a unique collection of premium hard ciders and wines - produced from fresh local fruit - flavored by Wisconsin. Located on the scenic bluffs above the Mississippi River at Lake Pepin, our rural estate offers refreshing country experiences. Our authentic cider apples are of domestic and international origin, grown in the finest apple region of the country.

We have regularly scheduled fun events April through December to enjoy our beverages, and we are open for Apple Season, the last week of August, Wednesdays through Sundays, 10am-6pm. In addition to wine and cider tastings and tours, Maiden Rock Winery and Cidery is also the ideal venue for many special events. From weddings to car clubs, to reunions, and receptions, many have enjoyed the country setting and adaptability of the facilities and staff to meet their unique needs.

Sep 6 2014 - 1:00pm - 2:30pm: Lake Pepin Wine & Cider Cruises

Costs: $15 Cruise + $10 Tasting
Reservations: 1-651-345-5188

For a spectacular and tasty experience, join Maiden Rock Winery & Cidery for wine, cider and cheese tasting on Lake Pepin. Lake Pepin is part of the Upper Mississippi River Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA) -- the largest wine grape-growing region in the United States -- and encompasses an area 50 times larger than the Bordeaux wine regions of France.
These 1-1/2 hour cruises on the Pearl of the Lake present locally produced wines -- including whites, reds, and hard ciders. Wine & Cider Maker Herdie Baisden informs guests about each wine and cider being tasted and happily answers any questions. Cheese pairings and additional wine complimenting fare will be served!  Additional beverages are available for purchase at the full-service bar on-board. While enjoying your wine and food tastings, you'll experience some of the most incredible and beautiful scenery of the Mississippi River, including:
Towering Mississippi River bluffs
Endless bird watching opportunities; some of the best places in North America to see bald eagles
Bucolic views of farms, orchards and pastures
Old Frontenac, founded in 1839 along the shores of Lake Pepin near its widest spot.
Lake City, the birthplace of water-skiing
Village of Stockholm, founded in 1854 by immigrants from Karlskoga, Sweden.
Boarding Location: Harbor at Willows on the River Condominiums on the north end of Lake City.
